My Mission //

To help Australian sports and entertainment brands create excitement for their fans.

My Story //

I am a multi-disciplined freelance designer and creative consultant located in Geelong. I provide clients from all sporting codes and creative mediums across Australia with distinctive, robust branding and graphic design aimed at exciting their fans.

I am steadfast in my belief that Australian sports and entertainment brands have the ability to become world-leaders in effective storytelling and fan engagement and I want to be there to guide them on their path towards success.

In 2017, one of my logos was included in the tenth volume of the world-renowned book series, Logo Lounge.

In 2018, I authored Brand For Glory — a book containing twenty tips to help sports brands improve and increase their value.

My Capabilities //

My capabilities extend far beyond your average graphic design studio. Producing amazing sports identities is just a small part of my repertoire. I also take care of your entire brand from conceptualising and storytelling to promotional strategy and marketing.

For areas in which I don't specialise, such as photography or printing, I reach out to my network of talented creatives and suppliers to ensure you receive top-quality results.

Process //

Research

Examining your brand history and culture will provide the direction needed to produce results that connect with your fans. I will seek out local inspiration to assist with forming a unique and authenthic identity. If necessary, I will assemble a “mood board” of ideas to confirm the direction I take.

Sketching

From the ideas identified in the research stage, I put pencil to paper and sketch as many ideas as possible. My goal is to uncover a quality idea, not a quality sketch. It is possible to have hundreds of sketches before I find “the one.” I may present my sketches periodically to find the best options to explore further in the concept stage.

Concepts

With my best sketches selected, I recreate them digitally and test them out on real-world applications to see how they will work. Examples may include apparel, signage and stationery. During this stage, I will require your feedback and approval.

Refinements

Should you require fine tuning of the concepts provided, this stage allows for refinements and minor modifications to ensure a quality result can be achieved.

Packaging

With the concepts now approved, I prepare a file package so that the designs can easily be accessed and used for any application. This includes the creation of supplementary guides and various file formats (such as JPG, PNG, PDF and EPS).

Delivery

All deliverables for this project will be compiled and made available via a download link. This is also where I transfer the Copyright for the designs to you to use as you see fit. As part of my after sales service, I will request a testimonial and ask for feedback about your Pixel Ninja Creative experience so I can finds ways to improve our services.

I don't design for my portfolio. My commitment is to you and your fans.

What can I expect to pay? //

Each brand has their own goals. Where some brands exist just to have fun, others have a lot to lose in terms of financial support and reputation. Therefore, it makes more sense to charge for services based on the value to each client.

I don't offer an "hourly rate" or any of those "pre-packaged add-ons" commonly found with other freelancers. Instead I listen to your current pain points and find out what you want to achieve in the future. Once I have enough information, I put together some value-based options to help get you reach your end goals.

In the interest of transparency, here are some price ranges and their suitability for any budget.

From 20,000

Major brands with a sizable community of loyal, sometimes rabid, stakeholders - also known as fans. Attracting new fans and higher quality sponsors is important but you don't want to alienate your current fanbase or else you risk losing everything. A strategic approach is required to keep everyone happy.

6,000 - 15,000

Established brands looking at developing a passionate fan community while solidifying their presence. Perception means everything when you are competing for attention from current and potential fans.

1,000 - 5,000

Brands that exist primarily for fun. Fans and other stakeholders aren't considered to be as important as the endeavour itself but you still want professional design because quality means a lot to you.
